Mercy Ekle

Itohan Ekle is an artist and poet whose work explores identity, transformation, and self-expression. Her debut poetry collection, Colours on My Face, is part of the permanent collection at Poets House, New York. Her writing has appeared in SheEvolves, MAAR, NWF Journal, and multiple poetry anthologies, including Octofest and Paradise Gate House’s Healing Anthology.

Ekle has been selected for exhibitions such as Dreams and Nightmares at Boomer Art Gallery, London, and has been invited to participate in the Daily Scope Art Exhibition and the Atystic Group Exhibition. She was longlisted for the Octofest Poetry Prize and is a finalist for the 2025 Voice for Change Poetry Contest. She is also a selected participant in Poetry Northwest’s forthcoming Text and Sketch gallery.
