Keegan Thoranin

Reader

Keegan Thoranin (any/all) is a creature whose comforts lie in the uncomfortable, the unpalatable, the raw. Words have always eluded her as much as nourished her; it's why she became a librarian among many things. While a comic artist by trade, she's drawn to reading and writing prose that evokes the gut-wrenching and vulnerable experience of seeing others and being seen, and is in the constant metamorphic goop phase of unlearning cringe and embracing sincerity. As seen in "Butchability," "The Venn Diagram Between Lycanthropy and Chronic Pain," and "The Sun Mourns in Vain for the White-throated Rail," they love writing and illustrating the ways queer identity, horror, and disability intermingle. Every day, they ask what it means to have a body in a world that demands its destruction.
