Dr Sara Louise Wheeler

Dr Sara Louise Wheeler writes the columns ‘O’r Gororau’ (from the borders) for Barddas Welsh poetry magazine and ‘Troi cerrig’ (turning stones) for Golwg360 Welsh news platform, for which she also undertakes freelance reporting. Sara won Disability Arts Cymru’s ‘Creative Word Award 2022’ (Welsh medium), with her poem ‘Ablaeth Rhemp y Crachach’, and her artwork ‘The sands of hearing time’ was part of the ‘Aildanio’ exhibition, which toured Wales’ galleries in 2023. Sara performs at open mic nights in Wrexham, is an executive board member for PEN Wales, and is vice-chair of the central literature committee of the National Eisteddfod of Wales.
