Free to submit. There are no fees.

Simultaneous submissions are fine. Please notify us immediately if work submitted is accepted elsewhere.

Some work may be spotlighted before the release (authors will be contacted) all work will be highlighted on social media after the issue release.

Please send previously unpublished work. If submitting work which has been published in print only, please specify when and where.)

Font Size 12, Times New Roman, Single Line Spacing for Poetry. In a Doc.X format

Please Submit a maximum 100 word 3rd person bio with every submission. This should be ready for publication in the event that your work is accepted.

Submissions that are not sent to the correct email address will not be considered as well as submissions sent outside our reading window’s. Thank you for your understanding

Fahmidan can’t currently offer payment. We hope to be able to pay contributors in the future.

Fahmidan requests First World Rights, and the right to include the work on the Fahmidan website indefinitely.

After publication, all rights revert to the author. Copyright always remains with the author.

We ask that you wait at least 2 months after publication at Fahmidan before republishing the work. Should it be published elsewhere (whether in another publication or on your own website), please credit Fahmidan as its first publication.

Anthony is a mixed-race poet & writer who has ties to the USA, UK & Kuwait. Anthony is a keen traveler and polyglot who enjoys reading and sociological sparring! Anthony's work has been published 40 times in The Kuwait Times, The Showbear Family Circus, Sumou magazine, Twisted Vine Literary Journal, Perhappened Literary Magazine, The Mark Literary Review, Doghouse Press, FullyLit Magazine, Idle Ink, Versification & The Daily Drunk, etc. In addition, Anthony has 1 published chapbook entitled 'The Great Northern Journey'. Anthony is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Sociology.

Ranna is an American with Jordanian-Iranian background. She has grown up in Kuwait and her 'third culture' influences a lot of her writing and interests. Growing up a proud and vocal girl in the Middle East has shaped much of Ranna's narrative and her interests. She likes to indulge in matters of politics, philosophy, and anything new she comes across. Ranna aims to highlight both the struggle and the beauty in everyday life through her writing in the lens of a 'Third Culture' child. She is a rising freshman at St. John's College in Annapolis.

Areeba Bhajikhara & Yasmine Dashti

Areeba Bhajikhara has studied literature for several years and has been a part of and ran two editorial magazines up to now. She is a writer for Teen Times who focuses on activism and niche feminist issues pertaining to the middle east and internationally. She also reads and analyses all kinds of literary works in her free time. As well as, she has published several articles in the past and continues to do so. Several projects have been started under her care and mentorship and she continues to dedicate her time to volunteering. Being involved in the community, she has also given a TED Talk and passionately cares about the environment. As a lover of the arts and science she now studies Biomedical Science in Canada, yet never forgetting the literary world that gave her the zest to truly appreciate and enjoy her life.

Areeba Bhajikhara
